Jeffrey Herman, J.D.

Jeff Herman is Executive Director of Litigation Consulting at Blueprint Trial Consulting. Mr. Herman, a lawyer by training, is one of the pioneers in the litigation consulting field. He has spent four decades working on a broad array of high-profile cases in both federal and state courts in over 45 states. His work includes assisting counsel with jury selection and juror profiling, case strategy and theme development, case evaluations, and change of venue studies. Over the years, Mr. Herman has spent an increasing amount of his time helping with witness preparation in jury trials, important pre-trial hearings (Markman, Daubert Class Certification), bench trials, and arbitrations.

Mr. Herman’s areas of concentration have included intellectual property disputes, especially ANDA litigation in the pharmaceutical industry; product liability cases; securities litigation; auditing and accounting malpractice matters; and white collar crime cases.

Immediately prior to joining Blueprint, Mr. Herman worked for 25 years at another prominent litigation consulting firm, where he served as Executive Vice President.

Prior to becoming a trial consultant, Mr. Herman practiced law at Goodwin Procter.  He holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he was the Note Editor of the Law Review.  He also received a Masters in Political Science from l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, and a B.A. from Wesleyan University, Connecticut.

Mr. Herman is fluent in both French and Portuguese.  Early in his career, he worked for Operation Crossroads Africa and the United States Department of State and taught English as a foreign language in The American Consulate’s language school in Saõ Paulo, Brazil.
